Starting out our Top 10 Restaurants in Downtown Nashville list is a famous “Meat & 3” kitchen that is arguably the best in Nashville. In 2009, they even won a James Beard award. Established in 1982, Arnold’s Country Kitchen quickly became known for their amazing roast beef (and their vegetables are incredible too). With over 2000 ratings between Facebook, Yelp and Google averaging over 4.5 stars each, it’s not hard to see why Arnold’s is a local favorite in Downtown Nashville!

Even though this list is based on user reviews, we can personally attest to this one.  DeSano’s pizza is absolutely amazing!  We are huge pizza lovers and highly recommend DeSano’s to anyone who likes pizza.  They have some of the best flavors we’ve ever tasted and in our opinion, they simply can’t be beat when it comes to pizza.

The Skull’s Rainbow Room is know as one of the most famous hidden spots in Nashville. Opened in 1948, Skull’s has had several big names in music perform on its stage throughout the years including Elvis and Johnny Cash. To go with the awesome entertainment is some of the best reviewed prime rib and lamb in town. If you’re a meat lover who enjoys some entertainment with your dinner, then Skull’s Rainbow Room is the place for you!

7 – Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria

Coming in at #7 is our second pizza joint on the list and the eatery with the quickest rise to local restaurant fame after breaking ground in 2016 on their new facility. With fresh, local ingredients, artisan crusts, specialty sauces and homemade cheese blends, it’s easy to see why Slim and Husky’s quickly became a Nashville favorite. They also carry local brews and cans o’ wine specifically paired with their pizza to highlight the best flavors.

Great pizza, great spinach salad, great staff, good beer selection… what is not to love. The prices are reasonable and the food was super fast. We serve great food made with lots of love.” Their menu changes weekly, they keep the favorites on and rotate between seasonal and inspired food choices. Open from 7:30am to 3:30pm-ish, Little Mosko’s makes a great local stop for breakfast or lunch Monday through Friday, but closed on weekends.

The Stillery is the kind of place you can relax, eat outstanding, fresh food, and enjoy a signature mason jar cocktail. They serve up amazing brick fired pies, juicy stacked burgers, fresh salads and amazing appetizers. The menu is comprised of what could be best explained as ‘a chef’s comfort food.’ Signature cocktails are made with the south’s best shines and whiskeys. Looking for an amazing local beer? They have plenty to choose from.

What a great find! We had the Bacon Mushroom Blue burger, the Sonoran Burger, fries, and mac and cheese. Food was way above average! Hattie B’s is what made “Nashville Hot Chicken” famous! They offer six (6) different heat levels ranging from “Southern” to “Shut the Cluck Up!!!” WARNING – Shut the Cluck Up comes with “Burn Notice” listed on the menu. Yes, it’s very hot! Whatever your spice level, Hattie B’s is second to none when it comes to chicken. Whether you’re a Nashville local or visiting from out of town, make sure Hattie B’s is a must try on your food list.

Great Chicken! Saw a long line and couldn’t understand what the fuss was about. But, I decided to give it a try and quickly realized why the line was so long! It was delicious!! Located in the Encore Tower Downtown, Etch offers lunch Mon-Fri and dinner Mon-Sat. Everyone always raves about the roasted cauliflower and octopus and shrimp bruschetta appetizers – yes, they are amazing! Etch also has a great happy hour with some very tasty specialty cocktails and house martinis. With a marvelous menu for lunch, dinner and desserts paired with an awesome happy hour, how can you go wrong?

Sleek, modern restaurant located between the Honky-tonks of Broadway and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Service is very professional and menu offers lots of good options. 2 – The Catbird Seat

The Catbird Seat is a buzzy, upscale American mecca serving a changing tasting menu in a U-shaped open kitchen. This restaurant is definitely one for the foodie in all of us. The food is American with elements of Japanese and Italian. Their standout dish is the sake-marinated cauliflower, cashew puree, turnips and aged beef fat. The chefs cook right in front of you and are very interactive with their customers answering all their questions. The restaurant only allows for 22 people to be sat at a time, so make sure you have a reservation or you probably won’t be eating there. Also make sure you come prepared to spend some money. The set price is (and we quote) “crazy expensive.”
