Emerging country/pop artist Morgan Johnston is excited to announce the release of the lead single “Good Guy,” from her debut EP, When I See Red, produced by Emmy Award-winning songwriter and producer Trey Bruce, (Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins). The single is will be available on all online retailers August 14th.
“When I wrote this song with Lydia Dall and Ian McConnell I knew there was something special about it,” says Morgan. “On the same token, it’s such a personal story for me that I didn’t know if it was going to be more of a healing song rather than a debut single type of song. When I started playing it out in town and people of all ages and genders were moved by it, I knew that I had to share this part of my story with the world.”
The track is an emotional country ballad packed full of deeply personal lyrics and impressive vocal delivery, influenced by artists like Kelsea Ballerini and Kacey Musgraves. Johnston is poised to make her mark on the industry with the release of this debut single.
